Matt Galin, Managing Director

Matt is a Managing Director at Madison West, where he focuses on partner and senior associate recruitment and placements in New York and Chicago. Matt enjoys working with lawyers across all practice groups and believes in the importance of building strong relationships as the foundation for professional success. For Matt, that means really listening to his candidates so he can understand their perspective.

Before joining Madison West, Matt was a litigator in complex federal cases and class actions throughout the United States, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in high stakes disputes, including arguing before the Georgia Supreme Court in 2017. Matt received his J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and his B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University. Matt also serves as a Trustee for the Village of Northfield, elected to a four-year term in 2021.
